Training Sessions: Winter 2022

Over the last 12 months we have been busy expanding the Builterra Platform and “soft” launching the following Builterra Portals to our subscribers:

  1. New User Roles and Permissions Manager
  2. New Approval & Workflows Portals
  3. Task Manager
  4. Ad-Hoc Reporting
  5. Document Repository

We will be offering training sessions to our subscribers regarding the above portals, which will provide an in-depth, one-on-one opportunity for you to learn more about each new portal, their configuration and rollout.

Reach out to support@builterra.com for more details!

Platform Improvements

Roles and Permissions:
Currently in the testing phase, the all new and improved roles and permissions user interface will be available in the next coming weeks. This new interface is designed for extra flexibility and control over user roles and permissions.

Document Portal:
The Document portal provides you with a Builterra integrated repository system where file management meets project workflow. This portal will allow you to store project-related documents, which can be sent for review or added to meaningful workflows.

Tasks Portal Training Module:
Stay on top of all your projects with real time field to office updates using our new and improved Tasks Portal! You can learn all about it by going to our Tasks Training Module. Check it out!

Ad-Hoc Reports:
The Builterra Ad-Hoc Reports Portal provides the user with ability to create account wide reports for a variety of Builterra objects. Attributes from project or contract, object attributes, form attributes make composing the report columns simple. Sort, Group and Filter are all part of the report definition.

Workflows and Approvals Portals:
The official launch of our brand new workflows and approvals portal will help you streamline your project management goals. In building meaningful workflows, you increase efficiency and improve quality control.

Standard Specifications:
A simple yet efficient update to our Standard Specifications will allow the user to make global updates to all line items that contain a recently updated Standard Specification. Instead of finding all instances of where the specification was inserted in order to update, you can now do so across all pay items with a single click of a button!

Mobile App Improvements

Tasks Update:
The new tasks update will allow our users to create, update, and complete tasks on their mobile devices. For more information on tasks for mobile, visit our Tasks Training Module. Check it out!

Submit Button:
With our new mobile update, you will no longer have to click on the menu button in order to access the 'Submit' option. It will be readily available outside the menu, as shown below:

Frequently Asked Questions

Notes Field: "Why are my notes not included on the printed report?"
If you find your notes not being shown on the printed report, check if there is a sub-inspection [Remarks, Comments, Observation, Notes] where your input will be included on the report. The Notes section is an internal field; meaning, it will only be viewable by other Builterra users on the account. This field is meant for Builterra users to use internally and not to be included on the printed report.

Project Filter: "Why am I not seeing my project?"
Since new projects do not yet contain any inspections, they will be filtered out. In order to unhide the project, simply click on the filter funnel icon, as described in the video: Check it out!

Password Reset: "How can I reset my password?"
With all the passwords we create, forgetting one is commonplace and bound to happen. If you need help resetting your password, the following videos will do the trick, depending on your permission level. You can also avoid creating a new password by logging in with your Microsoft account (video link below):

  1. Resetting password as an Account Admin
  2. Resetting password as a Builterra User
  3. Connecting Microsoft Account
