Jeff Lyons, Founding Partner & Director of Platform Innovation
With over 20 years of experience in the municipal and land development sector, Jeff Lyons is dedicated to creating innovative software solutions for the civil engineering industry. As founding partner of Builterra, Jeff and his team have reinvented the traditional contract administration process for clients including Ellis Don, WSP and Region of Waterloo.
Before Builterra, Jeff was the resource manager for Land Development and the business unit manager for the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Solutions Team at Cole Engineering Group in Markham, Ontario (2010-2013). Prior to this, he was with Autodesk Canada as the AutoCAD Civil 3D software territory manager, working with the Autodesk channel and clients to increase AutoCAD Civil 3D product adoption across Ontario.
Jeff received his diploma in mining engineering technology from the Haileybury School of Mines (Northern College), and his diploma in geological technology (geophysics) from Sir Sandford Fleming College.
Chris Stebbing, P. Eng., Founding Partner & Director of Platform Development
As the lead developer of the Builterra platform, Chris leverages industrial engineering training and civil engineering experience to bring distinctive, market-driven solutions to Builterra's clients.
He has served as the lead developer and designer for software solutions including a remote data acquisition system (DataCurrent), a water balance analysis system, a stormwater management tool (SWMSoft) as well as a hydrologic modelling tool (Visual OTTHYMO) used widely across Ontario.
Chris has over 12 years of experience as a civil engineering consultant. Prior to Builterra, he managed a team of 40+ as service sector leader for Cole Engineering Group (2009-2014) to deliver civil engineering projects ranging from inflow and infiltration to stormwater flood remediation for City of Markham, City of Toronto and the regional municipalities of Peel and York, to name a few. Chris received his Bachelor of Applied Science - Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.
